Edison Chan's sex scandal

Much has been said about Edison Chan's juicy news lately. The actors involved are now in the middle of a scandal as naughty pictures of their intimate sexual acts have somehow been leaked onto the Internet. The scandal over the photos has dominated headlines in local newspapers , the international news as well as the celebrity blogs the past week.

The scandal started after pictures were taken from Edison Chen’s laptop by a technician who was repairing it. I guess it's all about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. There were a total of approximately 1,300 pictures. The naughty images included Bobo Chan , Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi, Edison Chen, Gillian Chung, Joey Yung, Yu Chiu, Vincy Yeung, Yumiko Cheng, Mandy Chen, Rachel Ngan, Candice Chan, Jolin Tsai, Maggie Q and possibly more.

On 21 February 2008, Edison hosted a press conference in Hong Kong in which he admitted being the author of most of the photographs. However, he also claimed that the photographs were distributed illegally and without his consent. He publicly apologised to the actresses involved and also announced his retirement from the Hong Kong entertainment industry.
The way I look at it, Edison must be feeling frustrated, upset, painful and angry over the entire episode. I was just wondering whether those young starlets will survive or sink with him. Well, what has been done cannot be undone. It is sad indeed, but things move on, nothing stays the same anymore.

Nomination Day

Tomorrow is Nomination day where the eligible candidates will submit their nomination papers, to contest in the polls. The heat is on and with polling day around the corner, coffee-shop debates are widening to include gossip about parties and candidates. People are concerned about price hikes, inflation, racial issues and the lack of transparency when dealing with government agencies. Barisan Nasional and opposition politicians have been visiting wet markets, night markets and teh tarik stalls to distribute leaflets. And what a surprise! Seems like Fong Po Kuan is back in action and will be defending her Batu Gajah seat. Now that's the spirit, girl!
There will also be young candidates and fresh faces fielding this General Election. Whatever their paths to candidacy is, these young candidates will represent the new generation of leaders.
Come March 8, the political fates of these young blood will be determined by voters.

Shop for the ideal mobile phone

Mobile phones have evolved enormously these days. They have become the most important gadgets for youngsters especially.
From camera phones, music phones, gaming phones, smart phones and multimedia phones, there are also a wide selection of designs, colours, shapes and sizes. Youths have become extremely savvy and know their latest products in and out. But not all of them are searching to possess the latest features or functions in their tool.
Honestly, it's kind of difficult to find that ultimate ideal phone that really suits our needs. It's always one or the other. Eventually, we all will come up with a phone that we are willing to spend, even it is for a substantial amount.
Personally, there are four basic criteria that I'll consider in a mobile phone which include features, size, price and design. More importantly, it has to be user-friendly. I prefer less functions because it's simpler and won't give me migraines.

Shop till you drop

Jalan Bukit Bintang entrance

What's a guaranteed way to make any woman cheerful? Of course, spending time with loved ones and good friends is always the top list, but what's the another way to put up your big smile? The answer is shopping.

Kuala Lumpur's rapid development in recent years leaves me gasping for air. Developers are jamming every nook and corner of the city with buildings. The latest buzz in town is the new shopping malls that have opened up, one after another. The Pavilion Kuala Lumpur with its huge retail space is definitely worth checking out. For those who wants the best of the best, pretty much all the fashion labels can be found at every turn and a host of other lifestyle offerings. The working mother should have no problem finding a fresh start to dressing up for the office. It's indeed a shopper's dream come true.

If you are looking to unwind, there are many leisure outlets such as GSC Cinemas, True Fitness, Redbox Plus or Times the Bookshop. Otherwise settle into the dining outlets featuring cuisines from the world over. For further information, please click at

Happy shopping!

Malaysia votes - Election 2008

Finally, the Parliament has been dissolved ending months of speculation. The nomination day will be on February 24 2008 and polling day on March 8 2008. Once again the voters will be flocking to the respective polling centres to cast their ballots. The hardcore supporters have began putting up banners, posters and flags on the streets. The choice that we make will be crucial for the country's vision and development in all aspects. I think this year's polls will be a challenge with the Indian voters because of the emergence of the Hindu Rights Action Force. People are now venting their frustrations over some issues openly. Anyway, to eligible voters out there, please vote wisely. The power is in your hands. If you want to check your electoral info, please click http://daftarj.spr.gov.my/daftarbi.asp.

Incidentally, Nuffnang's birthday bash coincides with the polling day as well. To minimize the disruption to all eligible voters, Nuffnang has decided to postpone the event to March 15 2008, Saturday. The deadline for blog entry submissions is on February 29 2008. All other details remain unchanged.

Valentine gifts for men

What to buy for men for valentine's day? It's not always easy to buy a valentine's day gift for a man. If you are running out of ideas, consider these items: classy watch, neck ties, gadgets, cologne, grooming products or trendy accessories such as wallets, belt. Sounds too pricey?

Cooking a meal is an ideal gift. As they say, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. If you are not a star in the kitchen, no worries. There are some ways to embellish it. Have some special foods or beverages that you have enjoyed together when you first met or during first date. Play the music on to add to the cosy ambience.

The best part is it doesnt take a lot of money for a memorable Valentine's day.

Nuffnang's Ist Birthday Party

Nuffnang will be organising a huge party in conjunction with their upcoming 1st anniversary. Sounds like excitement is in the air.

The awkward thing is that the dress code is pajamas or anything you sleep in. I was just wondering whether this dress code issue is applicable to ladies as well. I mean some ladies wear sexy lingerie to bed. It's unlikely that they will be wearing their usual stuff to Nuffnang's birthday bash. Well, anything is possible because the dress code is not clearly specified. For me, I just could not bear the thought of meeting my friends, acquaintances in my lingerie. My hubby will freak out and kill me instantly.

And what about the guys? Are we expecting some bare-chested party animals appearing at their birthday bash? Just imagine those moments. The girls will be screaming hysterically. Let's get real here. When it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't. Let's see how it goes!

The fun part is Nuffnang is offering some really cool prizes for the best ‘I Sleep Better With Chipster’ blogpost for Nuffnangers. To get yourself a free ticket to attend the event, visit http://www.nuffnang.com.my/pajama-party.

The Most beautiful woman in the world

This voluptuous beauty with her flawless face and intelligence is the envy of every woman and the fantasy of many a man.

Catherine Zeta-Jones (CZJ) was voted the most beautiful woman in the world recently. The glamorous mother of two was the no. 1 choice of 8,000 women worldwide who voted in a global poll.

I'm a big fan of CZJ's wardrobe and style. Her sense of style reflects her personality. CZJ is a classic beauty who has the whole package. She has millions of fans in every corner of the world. Her casual chic style makes her a popular target of photographers.

Some of her hit movies include
The Mask of Zorro (1998), Entrapment (1999), The Haunting (1999) and Traffic (2000), Chicago (2002).

Valentine's day

Valentine's Day is one of the most popular celebrated day by lovers and couples globally. However, I feel that everyday can also be a Valentine's day if we put our heart and soul into it.

Are you looking for valentine gifts to please the woman in your life? To guys out there, if you are shy and don't know how to express yourself verbally, flowers are the best way to break the ice.

Money can be an issue to many and most average earners simply can't afford to spend an exorbitant amount of cash on valentine gifts. Do you think that valentine dinners and gifts are getting too commercialised and a waste of time?

Perhaps it's high time to opt for home-grown flowers or simple gifts to celebrate the annual event. After all, it's the thought that counts.

Thumbs up for Detox Tea

Last week, I started on a detox programme. The detoxification that I experienced while consuming TruDtox was simply beneficial. Infact, I couldn't feel much effect on the 1st day. The 2nd day was the most difficult day to go through. I had frequent bowel movement and urination. One thing led to another, I was feeling sleepy most of the time. Luckily it was a weekend so I had plenty of rest and some naps in between. After the 3rd day, my body became lighter and most importantly, my waistline flatter. The bloatedness has gone with the wind. The sensation was superb bcoz I could wear better fitting clothes.

It took me 4 Trudtox sessions to see an amazing difference. I was really impressed with the results. This product is worth recommending.
Instructions on taking Trudtox tea:
  • One teabag a day or as and when needed.
  • Brew teabag in a cup of hot, boiling water for 15-20 minutes before serving.

1 in a million

1 in a million is down to Top 5 finalists. The 5 remaining in the competition are getting intense for their next performance.

It's not easy being in a reality singing show. The judges' comments can be harsh at times. The contestants have to be prepared to accept feedback of the good, bad and ugly sort.

Performing on stage week after week, Sara always has the X factor. She has not dissapoint anybody yet. She's a truly vocal powerhouse.

I was impressed with Shila's performance. It was brilliant and awesome.

There was Ayu who rendered her song beautifully. It was a song that demanded a feeling that came straight from the heart.

I guess AB has not showcased his vocals last week. I think he tried very hard but obviously his voice was not up to par with Nurul.

Mark was given thumbs down for his performance. His vocals were messy and he has pitching problems. Worse, he could be going home.

Stay tuned with 8TV on Fridays, 9.30pm.

Gong Xi Fa Cai 2008

Chinese New Year (CNY) celebrations are relatively quiet in my hometown. The streets are normally deserted on the 1st day of CNY as many would have returned home. Some will flock to the shrines and temples on that day.
I will normally celebrate the occasion with reunion dinner with my family members on CNY's eve. It's really an awesome time for relatives and friends to get together.
CNY celebration would be incomplete if the dried roasted meat or 'bak kwa' is not part of the goodies. For 'bak kwa' lovers, I strongly recommend the one located at Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur.

Here's wishing all readers a happy and prosperous CNY. May Stuart Little bring you comfort, Mickey Mouse bring you joy, Ratatouie bring you abundance of good food and most importantly; Minnie Mouse bring you ultimate beauty & pleasure.

Hello readers!

It has never crossed my mind that I'd create a blog someday. I've always thought that blogging can be very time consuming and addictive indeed. Well, we are living in the new millennium and a growing number of people have created their own blogs. I just dont wanna be left out.
Let's just see how it goes.
