I've been walking around in the office in a zombie state lately. No thanks to the 'Mat Rempits', the loud exhaust noise has caused me to have sleepness nights of late. It is high time we have strict enforcement laws to combat the growing problems of Mat Rempits. These crooks are getting more daring these days. These daredevils are not just endangering themselves but to other road users as well. Besides, they are also a social menace to the community. They are constantly in the news for the wrong reasons.
I'm totally paranoid with the Kelantan government for proposing to build a special race circuit for the state’s Mat Rempit to race and show their daredevil stunts to the crowd. Most motorcycles used by the Mat Rempits do not meet standard specifications, or have been modified extensively. Moreover, some Mat Rempits do not have valid motorcycle licenses, do not pay road taxes, ride stolen motorcycles, vice versa. So, why the state government is rewarding them with something they do not deserve? They play bad role models to the children of tomorrow in regards to what good behavior for our youth should be. I seriously believe this race track will bring more harm than good. So, will other state governments employ this method as well?
